The Sanctuary Church

A Photography and Poetry Exhibition Presented by Lori Vafiades and the Creative Ministries Team at The Sanctuary Church.
Overview
Creative Ministries invites photographers and poets within The Sanctuary Church community to participate in our first Photography and Poetry Exhibition, opening January 2026.
This black-and-white photography and poetry show will explore the sacred moments and places where heaven feels near -those fleeting times when the veil between the seen and unseen grows thin.
Through images and words, we'll reflect on the Celtic Christian idea of thin spaces— moments that draw heaven and earth close together —and celebrate the beauty of God's nearness in everyday life.
"Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it." - Genesis 28:16
"Be still, and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10
Theme
We invite artists and poets to capture moments of stillness, light, and awe that reveal divine presence - whether in nature, relationships, worship, or quiet reflection.
